Fulltime PhD Students.

PhD students usually stay for much longer than just a year – that is why a large share of this website is dedicated to them.

They usually invest three to five years of their lives (we hope the best years) into research in the fields of economics, econometrics, policy analysis, sociology, and governance.

The supervision of the junior researchers is guaranteed by a network of scholars at Maastricht University and at the participating partner-universities abroad. The senior research staff at the School works in distinctive niches within the Governance and Policy Analysis research programme.

In order to the reduce the financial burden on the PhD students, many of the research fellows are financed by the Marie Curie programme of the European Union and by the Maastricht Graduate School of Governance Scholarship fund.
